Craft is anything that people make by hand. From big businesses to small shops on the road they all are crafts and are what people put their heart and soul into. Anyone can make crafts, from a little kid to an elderly person, they have what it takes to make it. For me I love just walking around towns and to see the small shops wherever you are. For me the last time I went to Japan I went to Hokkaido, the more rural side of Japan and not at all crowded like it is in Tokyo. But with that side being more rural I was able to find small shops that I wouldn’t usually find on the more urban side of Japan. Even people that sell their art on a bridge is art you wouldn’t find anywhere else. People that aren’t popular show off their skills and I feel like that’s what makes craft different. On that trip I bought a painting that was unique from an old man on that bridge and still haven’t found anybody with that style of painting. With that I would say anyone who makes art with their hands from jewelry, to handmade clothes, soaps, etc you can do it. As long as you have the creativity I say, you can do it. Also maybe once in a while give that small store a chance, and who knows maybe you’ll find something unique.
